There is nothing wrong with celebrities without makeup. There have been many bashes on celebrities without makeup. Hyuna, on the left, was seen in public once with no makeup and her producers wanted her to have a natural look while they didn't catch what they wanted on camera. She was bashed on by many fans and they have said mean things like, "She looks like sadness in grief" (Koreaboo.com). Normally these fans would be there to support her and compliment her, but once she shows up with a natural face, they can't believe how different she looks.
I personally couldn't find a problem with her look. A person should be beautiful no matter how they look. I personally didn't find Hyuna's natural look with the outfit she is wearing to be great, but I don't think there's anything wrong with rocking what she wants and looking confident while doing so. She is the beautiful Hyuna no matter if she has makeup on or not. People don't realize that celebrities are human too and they are not always perfect. We do not look our best everyday and celebrities need to be on camera so often that they need a break from all the lights and makeup. People like Hyuna should be one that a fan can look up to and not judge her because of her appearance. Celebrities shouldn't be loved just for appearance because that really isn't all of who they are. Sometimes we want to be ourselves and they do also.
I am understanding and teaching self love as well as the love for others. There shouldn't be a judgement of someone's looks, and we also shouldn't assume that one is perfect because they appear to be. As a society these are ethics that we need to look at, ethics that we need to learn.
We feel as though these celebrities are like a god to us, being so perfect in every way (taking Jennifer Lawrence for example). We tend to forget that these people are just like us. No better than a human like all of us.
I call it, the new "comfortable" trend of America. This trend is very close to home, even though it probably originated from another country. The question is, why does it look so nice on girls?
Some people have thought of this as the "lazy look". They say that fashion is getting more and more lazy with outfits like this. I don't believe that it is the lazy look. This style is definitely comfortable to pull off. Putting on one shirt that is made of cotton, or wool blends is effortless. This is the type of style that you can go to sleep in and wake up in! Add a couple accessories and you are out the door!
Not only is it comfortable, but it is simple. Something about this look feels effortless to the eye. It is true that when we see comfort, we are able to feel comfort.
I tried this style on myself and the comfort of it made me feel great! It really made me feel like snuggling under the blankets. I thought that this trend was interesting and something different. It is a look that people would think is "lazy" but appears nice and feels comfortable. It's great to focus on comfort, I don't think clothing should take away from it and I believe that this is a great balance between comfort and style. So girls, don't feel like this won't look good on you. If you think you are comfortable in it then go with it! These "comfortable" fashion trends make us open our world of creativity and not lock ourselves in the confinement of society. We learn that it is okay to not wear heavy fabric clothes all the time and to just... relax!
Although this trend may seem silly and fun, it is body shaming to other people. I have to admit that I have tried out this challenge. It looks interesting as any challenge is. I can balance coins on my collarbone but only some and not over 20 like the girl above. What does that mean then? I'm 106lbs and 5ft. I'm average weight for my height, but still cannot do this challenge like the girl above can. At first I did feel bad that maybe my figure was not good enough, but everyone is different. It doesn't matter how fit you are or how much you weigh, you can still have the ability to do the challenge just like this girl.
Not everyone has an open mind. The people who created this challenge never spread the word that this wasn't meant to make people feel bad. I'm not here to say that these challenges are good or bad, because they are fun to try. I'm here to help change the minds of people that feel bad because of this. Not everyone that attempts this challenge is trying to hurt someone else's feelings. It does make the people that can't do this challenge feel incapable. There is no doubt that challenges like this one is body shaming.
Look this guy can do the belly button challenge. These challenges can depend on ability. Or maybe, how long your arms are.
